A public library
is being constructed in ward no. 64 of the Kolathur constituency. Thalapathy MK
Stalin had earlier recommended the sanction of Rs. 21 lakhs from the MP fund
for North Chennai development to build the public library. Today, MK Stalin in
the capacity of Kolathur MLA inspected the site where the library building is
being constructed. Even after a year of the commencement of the project, the
building has not been completed yet.
Thalapathy was literally saddened by the slow pace in progress of all public welfare schemes including this public library. He was worried about the lethargic attitude of the ADMK government in completing people’s welfare schemes. He summoned the authorities involved in the building construction of the public library and asked them to hasten up the process for the benefit of the Kolathur residents.
During his visit, MK Stalin was accompanied by a number party members, including former Chennai Mayor M. Subramaniam, former MP E.G. Sugavanam, North Chennai district secretary R.T. Sekar, former MLAs P. Ranganathan & P.K Sekarbabu, advocate R. Girirajan, area incharge ICF Murali, Tiru Vi Ka nagar area secretary Tamilvendan, Deve Jawahar M.C., and ward secretaries among others.
